My new book of poetry Paper View will be released by Requiem Press on April 15.
Paper View is a visceral, fragmented journey through the labyrinth of existential despair, spiritual disillusionment, and the haunting echoes of love and loss. A raw, poetic manifesto that interrogates the fractured self, divine paradoxes, and the weight of existence. Amidst this spiritual reckoning, the poems bleed with personal anguish. Paper View is a psalm for the disenchanted, a rebellion against inherited myths. It rejects salvation’s cage, finding fleeting solace in the “flickering flames of freedom” and the raw act of survival. The collection leaves readers in the “cathedral of rot,” where the only redemption lies in embracing the scars we mistake for constellations.
I am also working on short screenplays. I am writing short screenplays based on classic fairytales as well as other public domain works. I’m also going to try to write some original short screenplays.
I am currently working on some short stage plays based on Bible stories. I’m trying to write plays based on all of the major Bible stories and maybe some of the minor stories as well.
I have been working on a Bible commentary for years now, it may never be finished but I’m going to try to finish it eventually and hopefully, I’ll be able to publish it.
I am currently planning for my next book to be a collection of Haiku. I have some written already and I’m writing more. I’m planning on having 2-3 haiku per page with drawings on each page.
Update: I am now working on the manuscript for Shadows & Light: Haiku/Senryū getting it ready to be published soon.
I’m also working on a collection of all of my previous poems. Tentatively titled Anthology: Volume I this will be an omnibus collection of poems I published in chapbook, books and anthologies from my time of writing as Jamie Collins. The good and the bad will all be included. However, it’s mostly bad. Some of the poems in this collection were reworked and included in ghost riders in the sky and other lines.
Forthcoming from Andrew Buckner published by Requiem Press.
The Library of Souls: A Collection of Ten Horror Scripts, Tales and Poems includes his short screenplay Dead Air! Which won the 2023 Hitchcock award for Best Original Screenplay.
Forthcoming from Andrew Buckner published by Requiem Press.
The Burden of All the Beautiful Things is a book of poetry in which the author gets more personal with his writing than ever before. This collection also contains the poems Unboxed & Third Person Self-Portrait both of which were previously published in the 55th edition of Roi Faineant Press, I Can’t Drive 55.
I am currently working on the below projects. I have so much that I’m currently working on.
